Data protection

The protection of your privacy is very important to us. Below, we provide detailed information on how we handle your data.

1. Access Data and Hosting

You can visit our websites without providing any personal information. Each time a webpage is accessed, the web server automatically stores a so-called server log file, which includes, for example, the name of the requested file, your IP address, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, and the requesting provider (access data) to document the access. These access data are used solely to ensure the smooth operation of the site and to improve our offerings. This serves, in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, to protect our legitimate interests in the correct presentation of our services. All access data are deleted no later than 30 days after the end of your visit.

2. Data Collection and Use

We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us during contact (e.g., via contact form or email). Mandatory fields are marked as such because we need this information to process your inquiry; without it, we cannot respond. The data collected is visible in the respective forms. We use the data you provide in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR to handle your requests. After full processing of your inquiry, your data will be restricted from further use unless you explicitly consent to additional use or we reserve the right to use the data further as legally permitted and described in this policy. You may request deletion of your data at any time via the contact information provided in the imprint.

3. Email Newsletter and Postal Advertising

Email Advertising via Newsletter Subscription
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use the necessary or separately provided data to regularly send you our email newsletter based on your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can unsubscribe at any time via the contact details in the imprint or through the link provided in the newsletter. After unsubscribing, we delete your email address unless you have expressly consented to further use.

Email Advertising Without Newsletter Subscription and Your Right to Object
If we obtain your email address in connection with the sale of goods or services and you have not objected, we may send you offers or information about similar products from our range based on § 7(3) UWG. This is to safeguard our legitimate interest in advertising our customers. You can object to this use at any time via the contact details in the imprint or the link in the promotional email without incurring costs other than standard transmission fees. The newsletter is sent by a service provider on our behalf, who is located within the EU or the European Economic Area.

Postal Advertising and Your Right to Object
We also reserve the right to use your first and last name and postal address for our own advertising purposes, e.g., to send offers and product information by post. This is based on our legitimate interest in marketing to customers under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Cookies and Web Analytics

We use cookies on various pages to make our website attractive, enable certain functions, display appropriate products, or for market research. This serves our legitimate interest in optimizing our offerings under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Cookies are small text files automatically stored on your device. Some cookies are deleted after the browser session ends (session cookies), while others remain on your device to recognize your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). The storage duration can be found in your browser’s cookie settings. You can configure your browser to notify you about cookies, accept them selectively, or block them entirely. Instructions for browser settings are provided in the help menu of each browser.

Please note that disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

5. Web Analytics via Google Analytics

  1. Scope of Processing Personal Data
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored on your computer to allow an analysis of your use of the website. Information generated by the cookie is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymization is enabled, Google shortens your IP address within the EU or EEA before transmission. Google uses this information to evaluate your website usage, compile reports for the website operator, and provide other related services. Your IP address is not combined with other data from Google. You can prevent cookies via your browser settings; however, some features of the site may not function fully. You can also prevent Google from collecting data via the cookie by downloading and installing the browser plugin: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

  2. Legal Basis for Processing
The legal basis for processing personal data is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

  3. Purpose of Data Processing
Processing allows analysis of users’ surfing behavior to improve the website and its usability. This also constitutes our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Anonymizing IP addresses protects user privacy.

  4. Data Retention
Data are deleted when no longer needed for record-keeping purposes.

  5. Opt-Out and Deletion
Cookies are stored on the user’s device after explicit consent. Users have full control and can delete cookies at any time. An opt-out mechanism sets a cookie that signals not to store user data; if deleted, it must be reset.

6. Google Ads Conversion Tracking and Retargeting

We use Google Ads Conversion Tracking and Remarketing to track user behavior for advertising purposes. Conversion cookies are set if a user reaches our website via a Google ad. They expire after 90 days and are not personally identifiable. Remarketing allows targeting users who have previously visited our website with relevant ads in the Google partner network. Users can opt out via: https://www.google.de/settings/ads or the Network Advertising Initiative.

7. Hotjar

Our website uses Hotjar Ltd. (Malta) for web analysis. Hotjar anonymizes all personal data. It tracks movements on pages (heatmaps) and can collect user feedback via surveys, helping us improve the website experience. IPs are anonymized, and Hotjar is prohibited from selling collected data. You can opt out via: https://www.hotjar.com/legal/compliance/opt-out/

8. Facebook Pixel

We use Facebook Pixel to analyze user interactions following Facebook ads. Data collected is generally anonymous but can be linked to user profiles. Consent for users under 13 must be obtained from guardians. You can opt out of third-party cookies via: http://www.aboutads.info/choices/

9. Use of Web Fonts

We use external fonts from Font Awesome, Inc., loaded from US servers.
Privacy policy: https://fontawesome.com/privacy

10. Secure Data Transmission

Your personal data is transmitted securely using SSL encryption. Our websites and systems are protected against loss, destruction, unauthorized access, or alteration.

11. Contact and Your Rights

As a data subject, you have the following rights under the GDPR:

  • Access (Art. 15)

  • Rectification (Art. 16)

  • Erasure (Art. 17)

  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18)

  • Data portability (Art. 20)

  • Complaint to a supervisory authority (Art. 77)

  • Objection to processing (Art. 21)

For inquiries regarding your personal data, contact us via the details in the imprint.

12. Right to Object

You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for future purposes. For direct marketing, you may object at any time. After objection, your data will no longer be processed for these purposes unless overriding legitimate interests exist or processing is required for legal claims. This does not apply to direct marketing purposes, where data will no longer be processed for this use.
